The DMK Alkaline Wash system is a remarkable treatment for all areas of the face and body, it’s designed to reduce fine, downy hair. This type of hair is very difficult to remove with other methods as the growth is usually dense and would take a long time to treat with electrolysis. It is also not suitable to be treated with IPL or Laser because it has no color for the laser to target.
Alkaline Wash can remove large areas of hair in one treatment without discomfort, in comparison to other hair-removal systems. It also works well when combined with electrolysis and laser, which are suitable for terminal hairs. After your first treatment, the hair will grow back at its normal rate, but as treatments progress the hair regrowth rate will become slower and the hair will weaken; usually resulting in a permanent loss over a period of time.The treatment is completely pain-free, however in some cases the area can appear red and warm which is normal and will subside after a short period of time.

How Alkaline Wash Works

DMK’s amazing ALKALINE WASH system is a unique formula that takes the skin’s pH to the opposite end of the pH Scale. The ALKALINE WASH has the ability to turn the pH of the skin from 5.6 to a pH of 12 in under three minutes. This action completely softens or desquamates the skin cells.
This dissolving action works on scar tissue, facial hair, razor bumps, acne on male backs and any unwanted hair on any part of the body without the use of harmful acids. SPECIAL technique for BRAZILIAN WAX (using HARD WAX). Less pain and long lasting results. Prior to waxing we use powder. The treatment is finished with application of soothing lotion with Tea tree oil or Aloe Vera to calm your skin.

As a HARD wax we are using Cirepil Cristalline (made in France).

PLEASE inform your aesthetician if you are using AHA, RETINAL A, or any topical exfoliate. It also reduces the risk of redness and in-grown hairs. For best results, avoid hot baths, sun beds and be on the sun for 24 hours after your treatment.

What do you need to know about Brazilian wax

Before:

Your skin is often more sensitive the time near your period , and waxing can be more painful than normal. So your appointment shouldn’t be any closer than 2 days before or after your period. Don’t use any lotions, creams in bikini area. You need some hair growth for the wax to hold onto, but not too long which can make the waxing hurt more than it needs to. Trim it before your appointment or let aesthetician trim hair down to the right length at your appointment. Take a aspirin or Tylenol 30-40-min. Before your appointment IF you are worried about pain. Shower and lightly exfoliate your entire bikini area ( if possible) right before your appointment using warm water. Make sure you are extra clean.

After:

Don’t wear tight panties for and after your appointment. No tanning beds, sun, saunas or steam rooms for at least 1 day. For few days after bath or shower use baby powder on bikini area. Two-four days after start to use exfoliator to prevent any ingrown hair. If your get any ingrown hairs try Tend Skin, a huge favourite all the customers for getting rid of pesky ingrown.
